The Cretan Musical Workshop, with a strong sense of responsibility, and due respect for the occasion, presents to you the musical work “SAINTS OF CRETE”, a production in the context of the Ecclesiastical Tradition of Crete.
This work was prepared with the aim to pay homage to the musical value of Byzantine Tradition and, at the same time, bring to public attention the exhilarating hymns dedicated to the Cretan Saints. The musical and the poetic content of these hymns constitute a remarkable token of Byzantine Art. We are convinced of its historical significance and contribution to the Cretan Ecclesiastical Tradition.
In this work is included a colorful booklet with illustrations and commentaries about the history of Byzantine Music and the lives of Cretan Saints. The booklet is also translated into English.
